For over 25 years Kevin Byrnes worked in the hospitality industry but he has always had a passion for working with his hands. He loved stealing away to his workshop and crafting something special that would fit a specific need. Every project was a creative outlet - every end product was a joy. He eventually came to the conclusion that this should be more than a hobby, this should be his vocation. He made the leap of faith - he transitioned from the world that he knew to the world that he loves.
Hello, Wicklow Woodworking!
Just a little background on the name and the logo:
Kevin wanted a business name that would "ring true", a name that had a fun and unique story.
It all starts with Kevin's love for his family and for his Irish heritage. The "Byrnes" clan is a proud and hardy people that originates from the county of "Wicklow" - a region on the east coast of Ireland, just south of Dublin. The addition of "Woodworking" to the name not only helps identify the business it's also phonetically fun to say -
"Wicklow Woodworking"! Try it :)
Once the name was locked in we set out to create the logo. The icon is a celtic design that incorporates the letter "W", the font used for "Wicklow" has a strong irish flavor to it and the color palette is intended to conjure up the view of an irish hillside. And there you have it.
Is anyone else in the mood for a cold "Guinness" and some shepherds pie?
